As a sales agent what would you be expected to do?
- Sell vacancy advertising space
- Encourage seafarers to register with ShiptalkJOBS.com
- Prepare a local advertising plan/budget for our consideration
- Deliver on agreed sales figures
- Assist with any local language translation where necessary
How does a company become a ShiptalkJOBS sales agent?
If you believe you have all of the necessary attributes to sell and service seagoing vacancy advertising, we would invite you to complete the ShiptalkJOBS Agent Application Form and one of our representatives will contact you directly to discuss this opportunity further.
How do you sell on line vacancy adverts?
Having been accepted as a sales agent, you will be issued with an agent referral number. We will then track any of your online sales referrals that translate into vacancy advertising sales, and you will be rewarded with the associated commission.
If you develop a relationship with a recruiter you will provide the advertiser with details of your agent number. When registering with ShiptalkJOBS.com your client will be asked to enter an agent referral number if known. This sale would then be attributed to you as the referring agent.
Therefore agents can earn sales commissions in one of two ways:
- Recruiters who purchase postings directly from ShiptalkJOBS, and who enter your agent referral ID on registration will earn you a commission. (“Indirect online sale”)
- By you referring your lead to us to close on your behalf. (“Personal Referral”)
Are there any costs to join?
The ShiptalkJOBS Agent Program is absolutely FREE to the successful applicants.
What are the commission levels?
For a successful sale you will receive 25% sales commission, this could equate to a maximum individual per deal sales commission of US$1125
